Dr. Louis Lembo
DVM/Owner
I grew up in Rhode Island always knowing that I wanted to become a veterinarian. As the co-owner of Veterinary Wellness Clinic of Spring Hill my desire has always been to help our patient’s live life to the fullest while building open and communicative relationships with their families. Spaniels of all types are some of my favorites.
I started my veterinary medicine journey at the University of Rhode Island earning my undergraduate in Animal Science in 1991, then went on to graduate with my master’s in nutrition from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.
During vet school my passion for surgery was born and I focused on high volume spay and neuter to provide a solution to the pet overpopulation problem that was a very visible in the communities I was serving. Which led me, along with Dr. Hultgren, to start working on several Native American reservations along with Nashville Human Association, which helped to fulfill the desire I had to be a solution to the underserved communities their pets and families.
In 2003 with that same desire to make a difference in the lives of my patients, Animal Emergency Clinic of Maury County was opened. I, along with Dr. Hultgren, decided to open an Emergency Clinic that still focused on low-cost spay and neuter while also adding emergency service for an area that did not have any emergency care available. From that original clinic Veterinary Wellness Clinic of Spring Hill was born with the original principle of affordable best medicine veterinary care provided by an empathetic caring staff.
My wife, Sloane and I are the rooted in Columbia Tennessee. We have had dogs and cats over the years and are currently enjoying all 3 of our dogs, and our cat. Dr. Lembo is the resident musician of the clinic and loves playing the drums.
